I really like this. It hits the ... feeling ... that I get when I read Fire and Hemlock and think about Polly. It's one of my favourite books (DWJ has written two in my top twenty - she is that great!), and I really, really appreciate this.

Ohhh, lovely! It's rich and mysterious and firelit. I love the use of red in the shadows, and her uncertain expression. Beautiful layery background, too.

This is beautiful! I just read the book, and this is very much how I pictured Polly... even without knowing who it is, though, it's a great painting, the colours look alive :)

Very pretty and interesting! Goache seems to be one of those media that can either look awesome or awful--yours is definitely awesome! And of course Fire & Hemlock is such love.

Thank you! I spent a lot of time on this - I think that's why it came out so well. There's a lot of paint on that canvas! And yes, Fire and Hemlock is truly awesome.
